Just The Way You Are x Bruno Mars

I turned 22 on the 26th of October :)
I still feel like a 19 year old, though.

Spent the day with the apple of my eye, the sugar in my coffee, the motivation to my everydays, my Han.
Turned up at my door with a lighted cake, singing the birthday song.
Adorable, much.

And my loot from him.
My favourite has got to be the handmade card =D
From scratch! Amazing what a gold pen and some paper can do *beams like a proud Mum*
Thank you, baby!!!!
Too much, as always.
I chide but you never learn, do you?

Depressing sight of notes + Bag of presents = Slightly happier times

Spent the day trying NOT to think about the finals lurking around the corner.
But to no avail.
I'll stop thinking, when its over.

Thank you Babah, for settling my *ehem ehem*.
Thank you Ibu, for the military jacket.
Thank you little brother, for the perfume.
Thank you little sis, for the gorgeous black Grecian dress.
Thank you, friends, cousins for the well wishes through text, Twitter and all =D

My 22 years on earth is more meaningful, because of all of you.

Like a G6 X Far East Movement

Recap Raya

Eid 2010, was definitely different... I guess I share some of my friends' sentiments.

Albeit being different, I treasure certain traditions and must-dos that my family keeps alive,my confirmed-late-no-matter-how-early-I start getting ready + Dad's nagging-at-why-its-taking-me-so-long, the seeking forgiveness in the morning and my trying not to tear up cos I dun have waterproof mascara during the fore mentioned session, just to name a few.

So, I drove this year, a manual car... and guess who hit another person's car?
Me.
Not major but still left me a tad bit traumatic, not even wanting to come near the steering wheel despite Mum's effort of trying to talk me into doing it so I won't grow phobic of driving, I suppose.

Nonetheless, I did take the wheel again... drove my 2 Umis and 1 Ami, my Cik Man, my Kak Nana, my Auntie Mama and my little cousin Afiq.
It was quite an adventure, trying to tail Dad's car in front, getting lost, not being able to get into the right lane and making a huge U-Turn, my Umi saying one thing and Kak Nana giving the direct opposite direction...
It was extremely, extremely fun though, what with the non-stop cracking of jokes and teasing.
Oh right, I realized I can't drive in my heels hence, brought my flip flops then grew lazy to keep changing from flip flops to heels and went visiting in baju kebaya/kurung and flip flops.
You've should seen/heard Mum's incessant nagging.
Epic.

But I guess, all these experiences will help nurture me into a more alert and vigilant driver.

Also, a major difference in this year Eid's has got to be the fraternal grandparents' new place.
Imagine having celebrate every Eid at their previous house every year since I was born, going into Nenek's bedroom to lepak on the bed cos that's where my favourite cousins will be, eating Atok's red spiced chicken wings right out of the pan while sitting on the thick carpeted floor... and now, we don't lepak in Nenek's new room, on her bed BUT at least we still get Atok's power packed chickens :)

May their new abode bring them lots of rest, peace and lightheartedness in their golden years.
Ya Allah, bless my grandparents with your peace and serenity.
Amin.

What didn't change, was the throngs of Babah's granduncle/aunts, cousins with spouses + kids, 2nd cousins with spouses + kids and the entire Syed Noh kampung + Nenek's side.
Neverending, I tell you.
And that wasn't even all of them.
Ibu's side though, the direct opposite, cosy and small, and came at one shot, stayed for 5-6 hours at my place.

So, that's a bit of my Eid 2010 recap.
Probably my final year getting the $ka-ching$.
Next year, if God Willing, I'll get a job with financial stability + opportunities for career advancement and be the one handing them out instead.
Insya-Allah.

May we all get to meet again with Ramadhan next year, Insya-Allah.
A very, very belated Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri and Maaf Zahir & Batin to the wonderful, amazing people in my life.
