I woke up and sat up in my bed - and heard my brother softly strumming MCR's "Disenchanted" and after that, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus' "My Guardian Angel".

It was the best alarm clock in the world.

When I got off my bed, I breathed in the scent of freshly baked cakes wafting from the kitchen, courtesy of mum, I saw my dad brewing coffee and my sister reading the papers.

And I counted my blessings right there and then and felt - like the luckiest girl in the world.
