Smile in Your Sleep x Silverstein

Dear Han,

010308 - Our 2nd anniversary.

Remember when our friends first got to know that we were together...
It felt like there were almost "betting" that we won't last a year, what with our obvious differences in beliefs, religion and so forth... well, we sure proved them wrong, didn't we *winks*

These 2 years together, proved that our relationship took more than just honesty, trust, respect and all that good stuff.
It needed a whole lot of guts, tears, blood (like those through your nose that day I was "plucking" it), sweat, tugging, screaming, pulling, shouting, hanging up on each other and all that little nitty gritty shit.
But, we know that we really, REALLY tried.
And we're going to have to keep trying if because we want this to last.

And, we both know we perfectly represent the saying:
"There's nothing better than a great romance, to ruin a perfectly good friendship."

It's was nice that I got the chance to know you as my BengBeng Buddy for a year odd before you turn into who you are to me now, my whole world.
I got to learn about you during that one year odd... and it helped me reassure myself that my choice has been and will always be right, to me.

Here's to looking forward to the coming years together, love.
I know you know how badly I love you

Lots & lots & lots of xoxoxoxo,
Shikin

Lazy Eye x Silversun Pickups

Germs: When was the last time I met you guys?
Skin : Err... erm... my previous birthday? EH WAIT NO! LAST, LAST BIRTHDAY! Cheesecake!?
Han : *Laughs*

Yeah, so we figured out we've been stalling our meet-ups for over 2 years -_-
Never again, auntie... next time, when we plan for something, we'll do it by the following week.

The day out was simple.
The initial plan of wanting to pool was ditched and we proceeded to catch "Juno" instead.

I swear, Juno, is one of the prettiest, most smart-mouthed characters I've come across.
Juno the movie, is a force to be reckoned with.

Now, go watch.

And watching Germs just SPLURGE on clothes, is another force to be reckoned with.
It was scary, but admirable in a way.
I wish I had enough guts to just see - grab - buy (=

We'll come visit you when you get your dream job in IMH!

Over the weekends, the family and I spent our days over at the SAF Holiday Chalet which was undoubtedly worth the $160 for 5 days rate.

My favourite nephew turned 1!

Rifqy at 1 week old and Rifqy at 1 year old.

He just kills me with his cuteness, sharpness and the fact that he's never, ever cranky makes me love him to bits.
I can't wait for his baby sister to finally be discharged next week (=

But on a not so bright side, my mum and sister are both having fevers and I've been having nosebleeds non-stop since we came back home.
Bummer.

I miss my Bukit Timah/Tanjong Beach companions =(

Things I Never Say x Avril Lavigne
"Dear WAN NURULASHIKIN BTE SYED HUSSEIN,

Congratulation! You have fulfilled all graduation criteria and have graduated from Republic Polytechnic in AY0708 Semester 2."

Alhamdullilah, syukur (=
Now, all the things left are to - register for Graduation Ceremony, bust the 25 bucks I don't really have for the robe and get that diploma.

On a totally no-link side note...

I finally noticed that "pool face" that my friends used to talk about all the time when we pooled.
That lower lip jutted out, slight frown and left eye slightly squinted look that I've come to know of - and hate.

I can't help it, really.

My much feared pool opponent, who kept pocketing the '8' ball before I could, 3/4 of the time.

See y'all in those graduate robes on the 26th of March =)

Light My Fire x The Doors

Today, was a great day (=

Despite the fact that Rifqy's mum's water broke at freaking 4 a.m... and the fact that I had to rush over to help with little Rifqy after just 3 hours of sleep, it was all worth it.

Putra Rifqy Luelza Bin Muhd. Zamilreza was born on the 23rd of February 2007.
And today, on the 20th of February 2008, Putri Cinta Zatrisha Binte Muhd. Zamilreza, demanded out, butt first (I'm not kidding!) into this world.

No pictures yet though, but I saw her in her Special Nursing Care bed, and she was simply stunning - a head full of jet black hair, fair skin with the texture of really soft cashmere, small hazel shaped eyes, with the cutest pair of lips in the softest shade of rosebud pink (=

Another reason to celebrate today is because I'm reallyyyyyy happy with my final grades!
I can safely say that I'm a soon to be diploma certified graduate *phew*

I'll end this short post with a gentle reminder for my ever-forgetful friends - Please remember to register for our Graduation Ceremony on the Graduation Portal.
Deadline - Real soon.

Pretty Handsome Awkward x The Used

So, after much delay, we FINALLY made our long overdued journey to Sungei Road last weekend.
Every single time I go there, it's like the "vendors" change... and I take in a whole new sight of Sungei Road again and again and again.
It's quite tiring really, to go there, hoping to finally buy that little something you pondered so long over, but going there only to find the stall doesn't exist anymore.
Moral of the story : Grab and Go.

The quest for Han's black strapped, clean-faced, "cheap find" watch was unsuccessful this time around, but I guess, Sungei Road isn't going to disappear any time soon.
Next time, perhaps.

A few hours of aimless walking brought us to our 'favourite feeding spot', the Koi Garden.

Another few hours, brought us to the much talked about River Hong Bao along the Esplanade, where I got a pretty strong dose of all things Chinese =)
Thank you, baby.

How did we celebrate V'Day today?
He spent his cooped up at home, reading.
While I spent mine, cooped up at home, crafting little surprises and gifts.
I guess, we both finally decided that it's waaay overrated and it's pretty much a consumerist "holiday".
Hence, from this day and forevermore, Valentines' Day is no-go.

Tomorrow, we shall hit the roads, look for a job and end the day watching my brother and friends at their gig.

Rifqy turns 1 next week!

With You x Chris Brown

It feels like I've been bawling to sleep since forever, when I know for a fact that it all started just yesterday.
I haven't even cried this much since many, many, many months ago.
I'm so sorry for all the things I've said or will say in the coming days.
I can't lie and say that I feel okay, but then again, I really can't bring myself to tell you what it really feels inside.
I've already told you, I literally felt my heart splitting into two, that feeling, where you feel the area where your heart is supposed to be, getting all dense and everything else just hurts big time.

I woke up after about 2 hours of sleep, to super swollen eyes and a headache the size of 10 Bukit Timahs and to top it off, the waterworks started all over again when I glanced at the framed picture of you on my table.

I've a feeling this whole crying shit is going to get pretty routine for the next few days.

Thank God for concealers.

With You x Chris Brown

ZOOM! Bukit Timah!

So, the 8 of us (Di, photographer, not in picture) who made it, braved the (somewhat) rough terrain of the slopping steps that led us to the Bukit Timah summit.

We met "Liana (the curling 'trunk')", along the way....

... and we climbed the first set of numerous steps that caused major aches and strains to muscles we didn't know we had.

While the girls marched on in front, the "men" power we brought along, dragged themselves behind us. Two of them, got "rasuk-ed" and became Leftenan Adnan & Lim Bo Seng as we trekked our way up.

From left: Tina Turner, Adnan. Bo Seng and "Hitam itu menawan... Nama saya RAIN".

Relishing in the glory of reaching our first pit stop out of the three that we were supposed to come across along the way.

With a map, that we (except Hida) didn't really know how to read, but proved to be reliable when we trekked back downhill, a few hours after that.

Mr "Suke dia!", striking a pose.

On the way to the summit...

... we chanced upon several caves (which were all gated)...

... and Sheikh Al-Rainee finally found his oasis.

"Aku nak jual 2 anak dara aku ni..."

Us, before climbing the last set of a few hundred steps that will FINALLY bring us to the summit.

Us, climbing the previously said set of a few hundred steps.

AT THE SUMMIT, FINALLY!

We ended the day with many tender grilled chicken burgers sets at Burger King and also managed to caught "Sweeney Todd : The Demon Barber of Fleet Street", which was utterly unpredictable + all gore + actors/actresses singing with super thick British accents.

Worth the 10 bucks we splurged on the tickets, definitely... and the large popcorn + cheesy nachos + 3 large drinks were definitely worth the 30 cents we were charged, by Rain's & Yat's friends =)

More outings, yes?

p.s. Next week, baby, I promise... i miss you too =(

Like You x Ciara & Bow Wow

Today, I felt the huge burden (that I've been lugging around with me since after graduation) lighten up a teeny weeny bit.
Come Monday, let's hope it'll be lifted off a whole lot more.
And come the next few months, let's hope it all worked out for the better =)

Thanks, Shaq.
You've been a real help, baby!

Running Away x Midnight Hour

An eventful week, I must admit =)

Last week EVER, in Republic Polytechnic as a...
...Diploma in Business Administration student who
...Practiced Problem Based Learning for 3 straight years and...
...Sat through a total of 3120 hours of...
...104 separate Understanding Tests under...
...26 different modules accompanied with...
...2 separate Final Year Project modules and including the...
...1 Creative Engagement + 1 Professional Profiling modules which totals up to...
... 26 modules + 2 FYP modules + 1 CE + 1 PP = 30 modules.

So, today, we ended the class on a high note... what with ice-cream cake and the incessant snap-snap-snapping of the cameras.

Us ladies with Mr. Soon and Ms. Loh.

Them boys with Mr. Soon and Ms. Loh.

Brought to you by the School of Information & Communications Technology.

Drifting back to the event that took place 2 days ago - Cashbox Karaoke session with the gang - where we learned that...

Zizi loves dancing... and that her dancing major-ly affected...

...Rain, who in turn, started to affect...

our Malay dancer cum Starbucks barista, Fad.

And finally, a roundup of the photos of that day =)

Idah, Diana & Marianah.

Yat & Marianah.

"Menggigil tubuh ini... melihat kau bersamanyaaaa..."

Group shot by the ever-mopping, Abang Mop.

We ended with a meet-up for dinner with Lala, Tina & Hida 4 hours after that =)

Yay!
Hiking on Wednesday!

Wittle Butterfwy x Me

If I had to run, if I had to crawl, if I had to swim a hundred rivers, just to climb a thousand walls, always know that I will find a way to get to where you are.
There's no place that far.

Happy 23rd
